Familientour: Baumeister Specht im Park

In the organizer's words:

Who is "Mr. Lachmann"? And who made the hole in the house wall? We also answer the question of why woodpeckers don't get headaches when hammering on wood.

This time we take a closer look at these interesting birds, learn to distinguish between Hamburg's woodpecker species and why they promote "social housing in the animal kingdom".

With the chance to observe a real great spotted woodpecker cave and lots of sensory experiences and hands-on activities suitable for children.

A two-hour research tour for young and old with lots of "exciting woodpecker knowledge - also hands-on" in Kellinghusen Park.

Please bring your own binoculars - if you have them - and dress appropriately for the weather. We go in all weathers, only in stormy weather or heavy continuous rain the event has to be canceled.
