27-year-old engineer Léo leaves the wild party life in Berlin behind and sets off for rural France. After his father's suicide, he has to sell his father's land. A mining company shows great interest, but it is not only the local community that is against it. Doubts also begin to stir in Léo's inner life as he starts to hallucinate: the brook trout tell him that the mines would pollute the river he loved so much as a child. Surrounded by the rest of his family, old friends and exes, surreal summer days force Léo to come to terms with his grief.

Prost stages her debut play with a sense of ambiguity, interweaving Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream and finding traces of a family trauma. She always remains at eye level with the twenty-somethings, who fight against their feelings of powerlessness around Léo.

Flingern-Lichtspiele

The summer open-air movie theater in Flingern. Every Thursday and Saturday in August, we show a total of eight films on the terrace behind the building. The projections start after dark, admission is from 21:00. Folding chairs and deckchairs are available and there is a bar. If it rains, we will show the films indoors. Free admission - donations are welcome.
