Who made your clothes? Have you ever wondered which hands sewed your favorite shirt or which path your jeans took before they ended up in your closet? There is a story behind every item of clothing - but it often remains hidden. The fashion industry is characterized by non-transparent supply chains, unfair working conditions and environmental destruction. It's high time to take a closer look and rethink fashion!

On April 27, 2025, the Karlstorbahnhof in Heidelberg will be transformed into a creative hotspot for sustainable fashion! The main event of Fashion Revolution Week offers you a big clothes swap, exciting exhibitions, short films, talks, upcycling workshops and much more. A fashion show will set fair and vintage fashion in motion, while DJs and live music will create the perfect atmosphere. DIY tables will give you the opportunity to get creative yourself. And what is actually behind a supply chain law? What sustainable alternatives are there in fashion? You can find out all this here!

But sustainable fashion is not only the focus on this day: from 1 to 30 April 2025, Weltladen Heidelberg is organizing Fashion Revolution Week for the fifth time in cooperation with around 40 stakeholders! With a diverse program for young and old, numerous social and sustainable initiatives as well as offices, stores and fashion creators will bring the revolution in the fashion world to life. Look forward to events that invite you to make the fashion world fairer and more sustainable.

The Fashion Revolution movement emerged as a reaction to the tragic collapse of Rana Plaza in Bangladesh in 2013, in which over 1,000 people lost their lives. Since then, people around the world have been fighting for a fairer and more transparent fashion industry. Not only people, but also the environment and nature are being exploited at the expense of fashion that is produced as cheaply and quickly as possible. So let's get creative together, share experiences and change the fashion world!
