Like many other bands that have recently emerged from London's vibrant music scene, FAT DOG earned their spurs in the venerable club "The Windmill", among others. Formed during the pandemic, the band's DNA is characterized by a certain degree of social disgust, which is reflected not only in their deliciously dirty vocals, but also in their songwriting. This songwriting is as much characterized by distorted rock'n'roll and angry punk as it is by futuristic synths and driving backbeats.
The band consists of Joe (lead guitar and vocals), Jazz (vocals and keyboards), Will (synthesizer), Johnny (drums), Ben (bass) and Morgan (saxophone).
As far as the band members' individual tastes are concerned, according to the music magazine "Hard Of Hearing", there is "hardly a square centimeter in common. Some prefer dream pop and karaoke standards, others Mongolian folk singing."
The energy with which the quintet gets their audiences going wild in small clubs and large halls alike is rare. Anyone who wants to experience the combination of rave and punk on an unprecedented level should check out FAT DOG today.
