After last year's production of FAUST 1 & 2, the Shakespeare Company Coelln, under the direction of its director Hans-Peter Speicher, is continuing its Faust cycle with another work of German classicism:

"Jest, Satire, Irony - and their Deeper Meaning" by Christian Dietrich Grabbe

Where does the devil flee to when even hell is too clean for him? Welcome to the summer's most garish grotesque, in which Goethe, Schiller, Shakespeare - and even Emperor Nero - collide.

Grabbe's work unmasks reality and drives all morality mad. A hilarious spectacle between political cabaret, performance art and poetic anarchy.

Grabbe becomes the voice of the present - wicked, sharp and frighteningly topical.
