Kettenkarussell is a new concert series starting at the Laboratorium in 2025, bringing a breath of fresh air from the regional singer/songwriter scene to the Lab. Together with the Feierabendkollektiv, which has organized countless concerts in and around Stuttgart over the past ten years (including the two festivals Vive La Vie and Bunter Beton), the Laboratorioum is presenting six special evenings that focus on talent from the region.

The Kettenkarussell concept is as simple as it is appealing: two acts per evening - one main act, one support act. The support act plays a shorter, intimate set, solo and reduced. The main act brings a fuller sound world to the stage with up to three accompanying musicians. The special thing: At the next concert, the previous support act moves up to the main role, while a new artist opens the stage as support. The result is a musical merry-go-round that keeps spinning from concert to concert.

The first round on the merry-go-round is taken by Stuttgart singer-songwriter Bea Bacher, who sings with impressive poetry about hopes, dreams and the challenges of her generation, always with a fine sense of nuance and a touch of melancholy. Her songs revolve around big and small utopias, everyday observations and faithful companions on four paws.

She is accompanied by Melamaría, whose music is an unmistakable blend of folk, Latin and singer-songwriter elements. With honest lyrics and versatile timbres, she tells of encounters, experiences and emotions that shape life - sometimes thoughtful, sometimes powerful, but always authentic and full of soul.
