After-work concert in the Kreuzkirche: an hour of entertaining music with a charming mix of baroque, romantic and modern in an unusual line-up. The Duo Anemos brings together Slovenian saxophonist Anže Rupnik and Serbian accordionist Marko Trivunović. Their sophisticated arrangements are tailor-made for each other - they particularly prefer the combination with the penetrating, flexible sound of the soprano saxophone. Piano sonatas by Scarlatti, violin works by C. P. E. Bach and Lili Boulanger or the popular song cycle by Manuel de Falla in a popular Spanish tone: the repertoire is diverse. The only original work for their instruments is "Dhamar" by José María Sánchez-Verdú. The contemporary work plays with the air currents in the saxophone and in the bellows of the accordion, so that both merge into a mysterious whole.
