A new path to a fulfilled life
Meister Eckhart and Martin Luther, two of the most important spiritual thinkers, came from the heart of Thuringia. Their ideas about how God "is" and how the divine works have changed the world. However, they lived in a world that was not yet globalized and digitalized. In his new book "Feeling the Divine", Felix Leibrock addresses the question of how we can experience otherworldly powers and the divine in the here and now in the 21st century. Using texts, songs and many personal experiences as a pastor, he develops a concept that helps us to recognize and feel the divine in the here and now. His premise is: What if, instead of through the mind, the divine opens up to us through feelings and emotions? An inspiring approach to finding the path to a happier life through emotional experience.
Felix Leibrock is a chaplain with the Bavarian riot police, heads the Protestant Education Center in Munich and speaks on Antenne Bayern's "Nachgedacht" program. He writes a weekly column in the Allgemeine Anzeiger newspaper in Thuringia. In the past, he was the city cultural director in Weimar, a Protestant pastor in Weimar and Apolda and head of studies at the Protestant Academy in Wittenberg. He holds a doctorate in literature and is the author of musicals, thrillers, novels and books on life coaching. In his spare time, he does voluntary work for the homeless.
