Co-presented by Feierabendkollektiv e.V. (Stuttgart)
Felix Meyer is one of those singer-songwriters who do not shy away from the present - on the contrary: with open eyes, a clear attitude and poetic language, he observes the now and condenses it into songs that touch, challenge and carry. On October 10, 2025, the Felix Meyer Trio will bring its "Aufwühlende Zeiten" tour to the Kulturhaus Schwanen in Waiblingen - an evening for all those who seek the political in the personal and the hopeful in doubt.
Meyer is currently working on his seventh studio album together with his long-standing fellow musicians and guests such as the mondëna quartet. The music remains characterized by the handwriting of the street, by chanson, folk and urban melancholy - and by a deep connection to the tradition of German-language songwriting.
In recent years, Meyer has worked with Dota, Konstantin Wecker, Keimzeit, Maike Rosa Vogel and Sarah Lesch, among others. In addition to his music, he is also present as a host of cultural meeting places - for example as the presenter of the Paradiesvogelfest in Thuringia or in the MDR talk series "Zettel, Schnaps & Gäste" with Julia Hemmerlig.
His songs revolve around topics such as social responsibility, longing and resilience - and manage the balancing act between seriousness and lightness. "The wind carries them away," sings Meyer, while outside the times fluctuate. It is this mixture of clear vision and poetic language, of musical depth and political sensitivity that makes his concerts so powerful."
"These are turbulent times," says the feuilleton. "The wind carries them away," says Felix Meyer.
Support: Florijan van der Holz - indie pop with an eye for the absurd and the beautiful
The evening will be opened by Florijan van der Holz, a musical storyteller from Stuttgart who combines indie pop with melancholy optimism.
