Feminismus in Comics – Entdecke die Welt durch die Augen von Liv Strömquist! : Graphic Novel-Ausstellung

In the organizer's words:

From February 26 to March 5, 2025, the Bildungsgemeinschaft Arbeit und Leben Bremerhaven e.V. will be showing works by illustrator Liv Strömquist in the city library. The Swedish comic artist inspires with her tongue-in-cheek wit, well-researched insights and her unique feminist perspective on socio-political issues. Her work is thought-provoking - about patriarchal power relations, social norms and taboos. Especially in this day and age, when traditional images of women are gaining momentum again and the political debate about equality is becoming more heated, Strömquist's comics show a somewhat different, humorous but also more thought-provoking perspective.
The exhibition is organized by the Bildungsgemeinschaft Arbeit und Leben Bremerhaven e.V. and is sponsored by the Präventionsrat. It is taking place as part of International Women's Day 2025.
