Feminist book club Lyra - swap, discuss and recommend books

Whether feminist popular literature, fantasy or niche crime novels or theoretical basic values - especially in the cold season we like to cozy up with a book. Because we think it's a shame that books often end up gathering dust in the cupboard afterwards, we want to swap our (favorite) books with each other.

Once a month, we meet up with our feminist book club for this purpose. Unlike in a traditional book club, we don't all read and discuss the same book. Instead, everyone reads the books that interest them at the time and we discuss them together. This also means that new readers can join the club at any time (all FLINTA welcome).

Feel free to bring books that you no longer need and would like to pass on/exchange! The book can have a feminist reference, e.g. be by a female author or have a female protagonist.

Lyra is a place for women and girls from the Union Quarter to come together in a cozy and child-friendly atmosphere. Lyra stands for sisterhood. Sisterhood means supporting and strengthening each other. We empower each other to stand up for our interests. In this space, we want to develop together as women and feel our own and collective strength. We want to be strong, resistant and courageous!
