Feral Folk Festival Berlin

After the great success of the first edition of the Feral Folk Festival last year, the second round will take place on August 30, 2025 at the Freilichtbühne Weißensee. A total of nine international singer/songwriters from Berlin's folk and alternative scene provide the very special flair of this small but fine festival. With the support of the Weißensee music studio "Famous Gold Watch", a hand-picked line-up of bands and artists will be presenting themselves: James Michael Rodgers, Kiki Annette, Daisy Blind Man, Elsdeer, Rufus Coates & Jess Smith, Roxy Rawson, Kilkelly, Robert John Hope and Marla Moya.

This "promising new discovery in the Berlin festival calendar" (schubladenfrei.com) is organized by British musicians Roxy Rawson and Cameron Laing. The festival sees itself as a platform for highlighting outstanding folk and folk-related artists with a focus on Berlin-based FLINTA artists in order to present their music to a wider audience. Last year, visitors and media alike were enthusiastic about the new addition to the festival, which "showcases the best of folk, folk-noir, indie and independent music in Berlin." (indie.berlin)

The renowned Berlin-based FamousGold Watch Studio is passionately committed to the professional promotion of underground artists in Berlin - especially women and gender-specific musicians. The studio is thus continuing its support for the festival, which was originally organized as part of the "Pop im Kie sponsored "Pop im Kiez" festival. On August 30, 2025, the Weißensee open-air stage will once again be the venue for the Berlin music festival - but this time outside on the large main stage. Nine extraordinary and inspiring acts will offer a program with musical depth, emotional authenticity and artistic diversity.

The continuation of the FeralFolk Festival is an important step towards establishing a permanent, annual cultural event that showcases Berlin's alternative and folk scene - away from the mainstream, with a focus on artistic integrity and social relevance.
