Fest am See

The "Fest am See" has been one of Mönchengladbach's traditional events for 47 years. Originally created as a "bivouac festival" when the towns of Mönchengladbach, Rheydt and Wickrath merged, the "Fest am See", as it is known today, is one of Mönchengladbach's most popular family festivals.
The special mixture of Heimatliebe market, beach area, gastro mile, children's attractions and a varied musical stage program left nothing to be desired and made the "Fest am See" a very special experience for young and old and a perfect weekend outing for the whole family.
The big fireworks display on Saturday evening was a traditional highlight of the festival program for many years. For the sake of the environment, it was replaced last year for the first time by a modern laser show, which, as a contemporary and environmentally friendly alternative with fascinating light effects, delighted visitors and created unforgettable experiences.
