She was a kind of pin-up girl of the 18th century. First the penniless English beauty worked her way up to become an ambassador's wife in Naples, then she captured the naval hero Lord Nelson and from then on was the talk of Europe. She fought her battles in the salon. With her gestural-mimic living pictures, Lady Hamilton created a cult new art form. Haydn wrote music for her admiral of the heart and Fontane immortalized her in literature. At the Kreismuseum Zons, a top-class trio of female artists conjures up the image of a muse's life in the fast lane.
