In 2025, the International Festival Maritim celebrates its anniversary - for the 25th time, the full range of sea music with magical moments guaranteed on the most beautiful part of Bremen's Weser! What began at the turn of the millennium is now Bremen's most popular major event - voted "Bremen's Best" by the readers of the Weser-Kurier in January 2025! Why? Because of the unique mix of thrilling music, unique atmosphere and the most beautiful festival location in the city: Bremen's green Maritime Mile in Vegesack.

Once again this year, 30 international bands and groups await you on six stages, bringing the Weser to life with their sounds of shanty, folk, rock, punk and pop from the coasts of the world. From the Vegesack balcony to the Walkiefer and the Vegesack harbor - each stage is a piece of musical home and at the same time a gateway to the world.

But what makes this festival so special is you - our fantastic audience. Despite around 100,000 visitors, it remains peaceful, cheerful and relaxed here year after year. So much so that even the police say: "We're looking forward to this weekend!" - you don't often hear that at events of this size.

In 2025, we also invite you to discover new gastronomic attractions along the Mile and, for the first time, the Weser Arts maritime arts and crafts market in the old boathouse. Let us surprise you! There are also many cozy places to enjoy the special atmosphere with music, sun or moon and a view of the Weser.

And when everyone sings along, beams and marvels at the grand finale on Sunday evening with a shanty slam, sparklers and fireworks, we know we're in for a treat: This anniversary will remain unforgettable.
