2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the UN International Year of Women. Under the patronage of Dr. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, UN Women Germany is organizing a celebratory concert to mark the anniversary of this women's movement.
During a short keynote speech, attention will be drawn to the situation of women and girls around the world, which is still a threat in many places, and important milestones in the work of UN Women will be presented. The festive concert that follows will feature outstanding works by three internationally renowned female composers of the Romantic and modern eras.
The music is a reminder that the voices of women and girls in all their diversity must be heard - in every society, at all levels. Together we can make a difference.
