Lecture on the occasion of the awarding of the Jutta Held Prize 2024.

Representation is a central category in both politics and art. But what do the political and aesthetic concepts have to do with each other? The lecture will focus on the role of aesthetic ideas and their visual manifestations in the development of democratic representation at the end of the 18th century.
