The grand opening of the new, state-of-the-art fire station in Pontypandy is just around the corner. Everyone is excited, especially the scouts. Because Elvis has promised them a fabulous surprise. What could it possibly be? But before the secret is revealed, there are still a few rescue missions to master. Sarah has to be rescued from a ledge on which she is stranded while filming a movie about Pontypandy. Peter gets lost in the forest with Katy Knüller because he is determined to show the reporter a daring hiking trail that he has made up. And the over-ambitious James falls into the river during the "Star Seeker of the Year" competition. Last but not least, the children accidentally cause a fire on Annie's farm.
