Fezzmo

In the organizer's words:

Fezzmo from Stuttgart, a band that has dedicated itself to Eastern European rhythms while remaining true to its own roots in local brass music, is not just the idea of a fusion of traditional Balkan sounds and poppy polka beats.

Rather, the band impresses with its unconventional playing, which is celebrated by its regular audience as Schwalkan, Swabian Balkan. "Schwalkan" is less associated with the occasional dialect lyrics and more with the Swabian origins of this unique music.

The openness to all styles of music, which is also reflected in the band's repertoire, leads to an extremely varied program that offers the listener the chance to enter a cosmopolitan, exuberant emotional plane. The band expresses itself less explicitly politically, but it is clear that social criticism and their own inability to consciously live moral values are sometimes reflected ironically. Because that's exactly what it's all about: satirizing social and human behaviour while always maintaining and conveying a positive attitude to life instead of hypocritically suggesting moralistic improvements. When Fezzmo takes to the stage, the focus is on energy, variety and, above all, enjoyment.
