Although Cannibals and Love is a horror short story collection, the horror is by no means neglected here. Rather (as you can see from the sentence you just read...) it spreads smugly at the expense of humor. But whenever the reader (or the woman or girl) thinks that the humor has capitulated to the horror, it suddenly appears and strikes back. Harhar! The stories in this book are nothing less than extremely bloody, nerve-wracking duels between the two elemental forces of horror and humor. Who will win in the end? Find out!

FiL is an Urberliner, grew up in the Märkisches Viertel, an ex-punk. His stage shows with SHARKEY, the plush hand puppet shark, became legendary in the Berlin cabaret and theater scene. FiL won the Berliner Morgenpost's writing competition at the age of ten, and in 1980, at the age of fourteen, he published his first comics in the Berlin city magazine Zitty, which has since presented the adventures of his heroes Didi & Stulle every two weeks. After abandoning his training as a painter, he concentrated mainly on his work as an illustrator, but has been at least as successful as a stage entertainer and singer since 1992. His stage career had already begun to take shape earlier, when - also at the age of fourteen - he played guitar in the punk band "Kollektiv Antiserum".
