Filmabend im MINSK: Im Stillen laut

In the organizer's words:

To accompany the current exhibition IM DIALOG - Hasso Plattner Collection: Art from the GDR , DAS MINSK is showing the documentary Im Stillen laut, 2019.

In her documentary, Therese Koppe portrays the 81-year-old artists Erika Stürmer-Alex and Christine Müller-Stosch, who have been a couple for over 40 years and live and work together at the Lietzen art farm in Brandenburg.

The two women look back on an eventful part of their shared history. The dialogues and excerpts from diaries, private photos and film sequences of performances create a multifaceted picture of two special biographies in the GDR and in reunified Germany.

A multi-layered documentary portrait of life, art, self-created freedom in the GDR and the question of how one can remain true to oneself and one's ideals.

The artist Erika Stürmer-Alex is currently represented in the exhibition IM DIALOG - Hasso Plattner Collection: Art from the GDR .
