With FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, our theater is once again transformed into the city's largest cinema and invites superstar Gillian Anderson, national stars such as Helge Schneider, Paula Beer, Albrecht Schuch and Marc-Uwe Kling as well as other exciting guests.

You can experience the stars live at the Filmfest events in the Deutsches Theater: None other than actress Gillian Anderson presents her new film DER SALZPFAD and receives the CineMerit Award from the Filmfest. In THE KLIMPERCLOWN , the unmistakable Helge Schneider turns his life into a colorful film adventure and presents the work to you in person.

The film STILLER also features a top-class cast: Albrecht Schuch and Paula Beer shine in this complex interplay of identities based on Max Frisch's classic novel. MÄDCHEN MÄDCHEN, the new production of the cult teen comedy from 2001, transports a modern classic into the present day for Gen Z.

Highlights for the whole family promise to be the second season of the popular series NEUE GESCHICHTEN VOM PUMUCKL and the reading with Marc-Uwe Kling and Jan Cronauer. Kling will read from his new book for the first time and show selected episodes of the animated series NEON & BOR.
