Newly widowed, retired teacher Nancy Stokes, played by Oscar winner Emma Thompson, hires a young, handsome callboy, seductively and sensitively portrayed by Daryl McCormack, to finally try out everything she has been denied in her sexually unsatisfactory married life. But in the course of their rendezvous, the power dynamic between them shifts and both have to leave their comfort zones for good.

About the exhibition Speaking of Sex

Sexuality is identity, fun and difficult to describe in words. Culture, education and images from film and television shape our perception of it. From autumn 2024, the Museum für Kommunikation Frankfurt will be showing how conversations and perceptions about sexuality have changed over the last 100 years, opening up a space for reflection, curiosity and dialog about the most beautiful minor matter in the world. An exhibition with financial support from the Federal Center for Health Education.
