Be there live at the NRW premiere of our independent thriller OHNE WAHRHEIT at the Cinedom in Cologne!

From 6:30 p. m. we will start with a champagne reception and "Meet & Greet" with the filmmakers and actors on the red carpet.
Our film program starts at 8:00 pm and Edzard Wagenaar, the director of the Emden-Norderney Film Festival, will guide you through the evening.
After the film, there will be a few impressions from behind the scenes and the filmmakers will talk about the turbulent history of this independently produced film project.

What is the movie about?
OHNE WAHRHEIT is a two-hour thriller inspired by true events. In 2017, a large pharmaceutical company tested drugs on homeless people in Poland and for some of them, the trial ended fatally. In our story, we follow the ambitious lawyer Nickolas Schott, who is desperately trying to solve the mysterious death of his wife and has to go into hiding. In the underground of a small town, he gets caught up with a gang of homeless people.
The leading actor Friedrich Bochröder is joined in a convincing ensemble by well-known actors such as Jörn Hentschel (Der Überläufer), Simon Licht (Der Untergang), Annabelle Mandeng (Berlin Alexanderplatz) and Paul Boche (SAS: Rogue Heroes by "Peaky Blinders" author Steven Knight).

What makes the movie so special?
As filmmakers, we always asked ourselves why you can so often tell that a German film is "German". We wanted to create a film that doesn't have to hide visually from American cinema and challenges the viewer.
We didn't have the financial resources that other films are entitled to. We didn't have any broadcasting rights or funding. We created the film entirely on our own with few resources and consider ourselves extremely lucky to have had a team of 700 people at our side.
Most of us were working in a "head of" position for the first time and have grown with our challenges over the 8 years of making this movie.

We consider ourselves very lucky to have won 12 awards at 15 international festivals with this film and to finally be able to celebrate our premiere.
