FILMRISS - Rock with German lyrics

The band FILMRISS was founded in November 1985 by 4 school friends, initially as a four piece band (B/Voc, Dr, Git, Key). The founding members Gerhard Habedank (Git.), Lorenz Burchardt (Keys) and Carsten Burchardt (Dr.) are still with the band today. Even back then, there were no discussions about the musical direction. The common love for rock/hard rock of the 70s/80s, the admiration for prog rock, the top priority of melody paired with the knowledge of being able to express oneself best in the mother tongue were early characteristics of the typical FILMRISS sound to this day. early classics such as "Südseite" and "Brief an Dich" were created, which are still an integral part of the live setlist to this day.

After the addition of a lead singer in 1991, the first output saw the light of day in 1993. FILMRISS, released in the usual cassette demo format of the time, contained 6 songs and led to an increased live presence. After the current lead singer Torsten Behnke moved from the mixing desk to the microphone in spring 1995, the first CD "In dieser Zeit" was released, which led to serious concert activities and appearances in all the well-known Hamburg clubs such as "Knust", "Logo" and "Rieckhof". "In dieser Zeit" also contains a number of live standards that are still played today ("Hinterher", "Gescheitelte Existenzen").

In addition, FILMRISS founded the band's own open air "Buden-Air", which was held from 1999 to 2007 on the grounds of the HM Club "Tipsy Apes" in Harburg. The most ambitious work to date was released in the fall of 1998, called "Auf der Flucht", followed a lyrical concept and was released in October 1998 at the sold-out "Knust". "Kugel durch den Kopf", "Urbi et Orbi" and "Ciao Bella" are still played at every concert today. The first "real" line-up change took place in 2000. The original bass player moved away from Hamburg for professional reasons and FILMRISS had to go through their first auditions.

We had musicians audition... We...!!! But the solution was quickly found.

It worked for 14 years and resulted in the album "Stille Wasser", which was recorded in our own studio, as well as songs that are still played today such as "Auf Wiedersehen", "Feuervogel" and many others, as well as the radio appearance on "ZUSA-Radio" in 2010. The last and third line-up change followed in 2014 when the current bassist Frank "Willi" Willhausen found his way to FILMRISS and has kept the current line-up stable for 11 years, leading us into our fourth decade together. But most importantly: friendship, the same taste in music, accepting each other's passions, having to look for a new bass player every 14 years and being team players.

Then the 40 years will work out:)
