To mark the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the German-Japanese Society is showing the documentary Silent Fallout (director: ITO Hideaki). The film focuses on the often forgotten victims of radioactive radiation in the USA - American families who suffered from the long-term effects of nuclear tests far from the war front.
