Electro-Industrial - Dark Electro

With "The Inevitable Relapse", their fifth album and third for Dependent, FIX8:SED8 (a paraphrase for the terms "Fixated/Sedated" from psychiatry) take the final step from insider tip to an established name within the electro-industrial scene.

"The Inevitable Relapse" is an almost prophetic title for an album that was largely created under the influence of a global pandemic. Their musical relapse mainly consists of a continuation of the course that Fix8:Sed8 took with the successful predecessors "Foren6" (2017) and "Warning Signs" (2019).

Drawing on influences from Canadian cult bands such as SKINNY PUPPY and FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, mastermind Martin Sane has developed his own unmistakable style that oscillates between dark electronic heaviness and gripping catchiness.

Similar to their colleagues from MENTALLO & THE FIXER and HAUJOBB, FIX8:SED8 have increasingly set themselves apart from their great role models and created their own sound spaces. The project from the greater Frankfurt area has audibly improved with each album, especially in terms of songwriting and production, which is almost as important in the electro field, and this applies once again to "The Inevitable Relapse".

This is just as evident in fresh bangers like 'Prognosis' and 'Unknown to Virtue' as it is in complex dark tracks like 'Human Harvest'. PYRROLINE bandleader Arnte also had his skillful hands in the production and mix.

After a two-year absence from the stage, Fix8:Sed8 are now back with a new album and a completely new and elaborate show.

Data Void:

Electro-Industrial - Dark Electro - Post-Punk-Electro

Data Void is a musical project by Don Gordon, founder of the influential electro-industrial band Numb, and James Mendez from Jihad. The band combines various genres such as industrial, drum & bass, dark ambient, post-punk, experimental, EDM, dub and psychedelia to create a unique sound.

Don Gordon is known as the mastermind behind Numb, who have been shaping the electro-industrial scene with dark, complex soundscapes since 1986. With Data Void, he continues his vision and combines his decades of experience with fresh, modern influences.

The debut album Strategies of Dissent was released in March 2024 and features a mixture of driving rhythms, dark melodies and aggressive electronic elements. Tracks like Nothing Changes combine 170 BPM post-punk electro energy with industrial aesthetics - perfect for the dancefloor.

Amnistia is an electronic band from Leipzig, Germany, founded in 2003 by Stefan Schötz and Tino Claus**. The band name means "amnesty" in many languages and stands for the concept of creative freedom and the acquittal of the spirit.

Musically, Amnistia moves in the area of Electronic Body Music (EBM) and Dark Electro, whereby they themselves describe their style as Bodywave. Their music is characterized by powerful beats, dark melodies and intense vocals.

Over the years, Amnistia has played numerous concerts in Germany and internationally and has earned a firm place in the electronic music scene. Their energetic live performances and the continuous development of their sound have earned them a loyal fan base.

2ND FACE:

Electro-Industrial - Dark Electro

2ND FACE were founded in 2014 by Vincent Uhlig in the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital of Mainz. Their debut album "Nemesis", released in 2017, was widely acclaimed as "Newcomer of the Year" and not only received critical acclaim, but also sold extremely well. With the EP "Nihilum" (2018), 2ND FACE confirmed their exceptional talent and their status as a fast-rising new star in the industrial sky.

With "utOpium", 2ND FACE have made a quantum leap in quality and the sound of this album is sure to set standards in the industrial genre for years to come.

The sound of "utOpium" is highly transparent and detailed, but at the same time aggressive and powerful, which fits perfectly with the industrial genre in which 2ND FACE operate and whose horizons they are expanding. The darkness of the Belgian school has left just as audible a mark on 2ND FACE's sound as echoes of SKINNY PUPPY and even a pinch of avant-garde pioneers TOOL.

Lyrically, "utOpium" delves into the abysses of the human mind and embarks on a philosophical journey of self-awareness. On top of this, 2ND FACE subtly hold up a mirror to society, which is collectively relying on self-hypnosis through (social) media in the face of climate change, epidemics and war.
