In the organizer's words:

From March 13 to 15, 2025, films by young up-and-coming filmmakers will once again flicker across the screen in Hall X of the Gasteig HP8. At Hans-Preißinger-Straße 8, young Munich filmmakers under the age of 26 will present their short films at the flimmern&rauschen youth festival.

The fact that you don't need a huge budget, the most expensive camera or a large crew to tell a gripping story is proven by the young filmmakers who have ventured into smaller and larger productions through crowdfunding or with the support of film schools in order to bring their stories to the screen.

This is demonstrated by over 80 films covering an impressive spectrum of fiction, documentary, animation and experimental films. Whether young or old, cineastes or filmmakers themselves - everyone will get their money's worth here.
