FLINTA* Workshops - 05. to 06.04.2025

Rap, Producing, Djing

This April we start with workshops on the topics: Rap, Producing and Djing. If you want to acquire skills on these topics or expand your existing knowledge, now is the time! You can get to know other people interested in music, network and exchange ideas! Whether you're interested in music production, learning to rap or DJing professionally, you'll find what you're looking for in our workshops.

Music production & beats with Aufmischen:

Whether it's hip-hop, pop or techno - we'll bring your song to life in audio software! Together we'll explore different recording techniques, edit samples and fine-tune digital synthesizers - all directly on your laptop, completely "in the box". No matter what technique you work with: The focus is on your personal musical expression! On the second day, you will also have the chance to produce a song together with female rappers*. Annelie Schwarz aka Aufmischen (she/he) is a versatile musician, producer, rapper, drummer, mixing engineer and DJ. She is a full-time freelancer and holds a bachelor's degree majoring in percussion, classical percussion and music education. Annelie has been performing regularly on stage as a drummer and singer since 2015 and has recorded, produced and mixed numerous projects since 2020. In 2023 she was awarded the Female* Producer Prize and the DIANA-AI Songwriting Prize. She was also a speaker at Beatcon in 2023 and 2024 and at C/o Pop and the Club of Heroines of Music Women* Hessen in 2024.

Rap with Dascha Reimt:

Do you have a passion for rap and want to try your hand at it with pen and paper or with a mic in your hand? Then the rap workshop with Dascha Reimt (she/he) is the right place for you, whether you are an absolute beginner* or have already written a few lyrics. We'll talk about rhythm, flow, rhymes, intonation and content and explore different approaches to writing rap lyrics. It's also about overcoming the hurdle before the first stage performance or the first recording and developing a good feeling with the mic in your hand. On the second day, the teams from the producing and rap workshop will work together to create tracks. There will be a recording booth so that you have the opportunity to record immediately and have fun together! Dascha Reimt (she/he) is a rapper, freestyle rapper and together with Akanni Humphrey organizer of the 1624 Bapbeatz Hip Hop and Soul Open Mics in Frankfurt at Schöppche Keller every first Thursday of the month. Dascha gives rap workshops in various youth centers and writes profound and often cheeky feminist or socially critical lyrics with great rhyme density such as "divide and rule" or "no goat". Through battlerap formats such as Toptiertakeover, Dltlly and Future of Battlerap and her participation in numerous freestyle and acapella rap battles, she has become known throughout Germany.

Djing workshop with Jenne:

At the DJ workshop, Jenne (she/you) shows what exactly DJ*s do behind their consoles. Here you will learn the basics of DJing with CDJs: what are bpm, how do I beatmatch, which tracks are suitable and what are all the buttons on the mixer for? We start with a small theoretical part, but then move on to the practical side of the DJ world as quickly as possible. Jenne works as a DJ, organizer and booker. She is part of the artist collective saasfee*, where she regularly hosts evenings and is resident DJ of the Berlin- and Basel-based label Reach Another Systems. Since 2023 she has also been working as night manager at Robert Johnson in Offenbach and is co-founder of Music Women* Hessen.
