Star stories LIVE 2025 and an audiobook

Hello dear listeners,

Just before the year comes to an end, I'm getting back to you outside of the usual episodes and directly to you. Because there's some cool news. First things first: the Sternengeschichten podcast is going on tour! After I tried out the live podcast show in the spring to see if it would work, the show will now be happening more often. The first tour will start next year, in 2025, and I'm sure it will be great! The live show will of course be different to the podcast itself; it doesn't make sense for me to talk for 10 minutes on stage and then it's over. No, it will be a complete show, a whole evening, full of all kinds of stellar stories that I haven't told in this form in the podcast yet and there will of course also be beautiful pictures, one or two experiments, a bit of action, lots of fun and finally the opportunity for me to meet my listeners in person after the show.

Tickets for the show are available from today, December 9, 2024, at sternengeschichten.live - the links can of course also be found in the show notes. The tour itself will then start on February 16, 2025 in Frankfurt. Then there will be further shows on March 23 in Bremen, May 26 in Eschweiler, June 4 in Munich, September 28 in Leverkusen and then in Essen, Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Berlin on December 10, 11, 13 and 14.

I know there are still a few areas in Germany missing, and Austria and Switzerland are still missing. But the 2025 shows are hopefully just the first step. If it works well and if enough people are interested, then there will be more shows in 2026 and also in other places.

And I also have a second announcement! The Sternengeschichten podcast has now been around for 12 years and a good 630 episodes. It's easy to lose track, especially if you're new to it. That's why I thought it would be nice to have a slightly less extensive introduction. And that's why there will be an audiobook "Sternengeschichten" next year. Of course, I didn't just copy a bunch of podcast episodes onto a CD. Instead, I selected 50 stories from the podcast, compiled them into an audiobook that has a reasonably good common thread and modified, shortened, expanded, etc. the stories accordingly and re-recorded everything. I also wrote and recorded six stories from scratch. The whole thing is available as an audio book wherever you want to listen to audio books, but it will also be available as a real, physical object, i.e. there will be an mp3 CD with a nice booklet, pictures, etc. that you can listen to independently of the Internet.

The audiobook won't be released until March 2025, but you can pre-order it now - you can find the links in the show notes.
