Florian Weber is an exceptional phenomenon. With his "fresh, unspent sound" (Süddeutsche Zeitung), he captivates every audience. Through his collaboration with luminaries such as Lee Konitz, Pat Metheny, Albert Mangelsdorff and Michael Brecker, Weber has established himself as a sought-after pianist worldwide. He is also at home in classical music and has played piano concertos by Mozart, Ravel and Gershwin as a soloist with renowned orchestras. With his new quartet, Weber returns to traditional jazz territory, but surprises again and again with classical borrowings. Coupled with a top-class line-up, this promises a concert experience in a class of its own.

Casual grooves, sparkling piano lines and epic saxophone solos: The Yellowjackets have built an unmistakable universe of electro-acoustic soundscapes over 40 years. With cheerfulness, verve and consummate musicality, they are constantly reinventing themselves. "This band has never rested on its laurels," says saxophonist Bob Mintzer, who is known to local jazz fans as the chief conductor of the WDR Big Band. On the contrary: after more than 25 albums, two Grammys and 15 further Grammy nominations, the ensemble is coming to the Post Tower with a new album to be released in spring 2025. The band is currently bursting with agility and almost telepathic communication. A fusion institution in top form!
