Our diet not only affects our own health, but also the environment and the climate. But what can a food system look like that does justice to both? In this panel discussion, which is part of the program accompanying the exhibition "What the Health - One World. Your Health!" exhibition, experts will take a look at the latest nutritional recommendations from the German Nutrition Society (DGE) and the Planetary Health Diet. How were they developed? What role does a plant-based diet play? And what does this mean for our meat consumption? We will also discuss what changes are needed in agriculture to make farming more sustainable and secure the food supply of the future. After all, what we eat determines the future of our planet - and our own health.
Participants on the panel:
- Anne Carolin Schäfer (scientist at the German Nutrition Society)
- Dr. Gesa Maschkowski (science editor at the Federal Centre for Nutrition)
- Prof. Dr. Peter Stehle (Emeritus Professor of Nutritional Physiology, University of Bonn)
