Forsythe This is a lecture performance that takes us into the history of William Forsythe's legendary Ballet Frankfurt from the perspective of the celebrated dancer Tony Rizzi: The company traveled the world and had a huge impact on an entire generation of choreographers*, dancers* and dance companies. For Rizzi, however, it was all just experimentation and exploration.

Together with his former colleague, the dancer Irene Klein, and the academic Alessandro Costagliogla, he has created a unique performance that explains the reasons for the company's success. Rizzi reveals the secrets of the special working atmosphere that Forsythe created. He remembers the genius, the chaos, the creativity, the conflicts and the craziness of a special era. He interweaves stories, dance and rare archive films of Ballett Frankfurt to create a wild rollercoaster ride between then and now. With humor and a nostalgic glimmer, he awakens a longing for a bygone era.

William Forsythe is said to have once said "I have a company of comedians who can dance really well!" - The evening promises to be as entertaining as it is profound.
