Prospects for the economy, inflation and sustainability

What is it all about?

The German economy has been experiencing a "corrugated sheet metal economy" for years. Sometimes it goes up a little, then down again. When will we get out of this sideways movement and what needs to be done? What impact will the USA's tariff policy have on the German economy? How can confidence be restored among companies and consumers? And what needs to be done to counteract a significant decline in the growth potential of the German economy? Do we have sustainable inflation under control
under control or are there still uncertainties and risks lurking, e.g. due to the development of customs duties?

Christian Otto, President of the Bundesbank's head office in North Rhine-Westphalia, will address these and other questions in more detail in his presentation.

He will also raise the question of how the transformation of the economy towards sustainability and digitalization can be financed.
As always, there will be an opportunity to ask Mr. Otto questions on these topics and discuss them with him after the lecture
