Mini-exhibition at the Natural History Museum
With his photo exhibition on the Great Peat Bog, Johannes Hüffmeier advocates a new understanding of nature that unites people with the environment through aesthetic experiences. His pictures are of very different styles and incorporate natural processes in their creation. Large prints with organic birch wood frames hang next to salt prints colored by moor water and layered photographs with self-made paper, which are presented horizontally.
His photographs challenge viewers to reflect on our relationship with nature: are we mere spectators, destroyers or can we imagine a future in which humans and nature exist in harmony?
