This conversation with artist Feng Li introduces his unique photographic vision and the development of his visual language over the past two decades.

Structured around the key themes of the exhibition White Nights in Wonderland, the discussion explores Feng's background, his distinctive use of flash, recurring motifs such as animals, and his publications. In addition, gain insights on the evolution of his photographic approach that led up to his candid reflections on contemporary life today. The talk is moderated by Holly Roussell, curator of the exhibition.

Holly Roussell 容思玉 (b.1989) is a curator at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art since 2021. As researcher, author, museologist, and art historian specializing in photography and contemporary art from East Asia, Roussell has organized dozens of group and solo exhibitions for festivals, biennale, and museums around the world at venues such as the Folkwang Museum, GER; MUCEM, Marseille, FR; NGV Melbourne, AUS; MMCA: Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, KR among others. Prior to the UCCA, Roussell worked as an independent curator in China and for 5 years at PhotoElysee in Lausanne, Switzerland.
