JazzToday Special - FOXL

FOXL, the instrumental ensemble around guitarist and composer Rodrigo Lopez Klingenfuss, has no blinkers for styles and stands for the mixture of different music styles such as new music, minimal, kraut jazz, post-rock & electronics. Typical of FOXL's music is the division of the ensemble into two or three independent parts, which together form polyrhythmic and polyharmonic sound structures without losing sight of the musical motifs.

The complexity of the music is formed from the multi-layered use of simple elements. The resulting constant shifting of the overlapping musical elements constantly creates new sound and color combinations, harmonic and rhythmic structures.
