Dress rehearsal concert in o-ton with music by Strauss, Françaix, Caplet, Prokofiev, Debussy

The WDR Orchestra Academy will be holding a dress rehearsal for an extraordinary concert evening with a wide variety of chamber music string and wind ensembles. Admission is 10€ // Start: 19:30h // Admission 18:30h

The Orchestra Academy of the WDR Symphony Orchestra was founded as a registered association at the beginning of 2013 on the initiative of musicians from the orchestra, with Frank Peter Zimmermann as patron. The aim is to close the training gap that exists between graduating from university and starting a career, while at the same time passing on the orchestra's established tradition of sound. The academy teaches orchestral practice at the highest level in order to optimally prepare prospective orchestral musicians for their career entry. The academy is aimed at young, particularly talented musicians who have completed or will soon complete their instrumental studies and are looking for a position in a top orchestra.

We are delighted that these fine musicians will be performing their final rehearsal with their demanding program as a concert evening at o-ton. Admission is from 18:30 and our bar is open: We'll keep the drinks cold.
