FRANCESCO TRISTANO: »deconstruct«

"Destroy in order to create - create in order to destroy" - this mantra by the celebrated Luxembourg keyboard maverick Francesco Tristano describes the law of every creative process and applies in particular to avant-garde art and the abstractly bold pictorial creations of the synaesthete Wassily Kandinsky and his circle. Francesco Tristano was inspired by paintings from the "Kosmos Kandinsky" exhibition for the compositions he will perform this evening. Videos that deconstruct the paintings and animate them in monochrome will be shown in sync with the music, while the lighting design recreates their color scales.
