On December 4 , the Frank Meiller Quartet invites you to a special musical evening: "Klezmer meets Jazz " - an exciting encounter between two musical worlds that seem different at first glance, but merge in a surprising way. The expressive, often deeply moving klezmer music meets the improvisational joy and rhythmic diversity of jazz. The result is not a simple mixture, but a lively interplay of opposites, a dialog between cultures, tradition and modernity. The initiator of the project is Frank Meiller - clarinettist, composer and creative head of the quartet. With a keen sense of timbre and great joy in playing, he moves between styles and opens up spaces for new musical encounters. His aim is to build bridges - between genres, generations and stories.
The Frank Meiller Quartet has been around since 2022 and since then the band has made a name for itself with its sensitive yet energetic playing. Their first EP will be released on all major streaming platforms in July, followed by the CD in October. The first sound samples are already available at www.frankmeiller.com.
