Letters from the future

What will our world look like in 30, 50 or 80 years? We don't know, we only know the predictions based on facts.
The Erfurt writer Frank Quilitzsch has tried to "translate" these into a moving human story.
His great-granddaughter, born in 2057, writes him an email from the future, and the great-grandfather can't resist opening the message: "Hello, my name is Filipa and I will soon be 14 years old ..."

A lively, touching dialog spontaneously develops between the generations. Finland as the new Italy? Waterworld Hamburg? Large settlements in the Antarctic? Filipa speaks from different ages. What does her great-grandfather learn from her? What does the great-granddaughter expect from him - from us? And can the tsunami that is building up on the horizon still be prevented?

Between experienced present and anticipated reality, omnipresent artificial intelligence and departure for Mars - "What are you dreaming of, Filipa?" is a very personal contribution to the current debate on technology, the environment and society.

The author will read excerpts from "Wovon träumst du, Filipa?" together with Lydia Albrecht, a young actress from the Erfurt theater "Die Schotte".
