Franz Müntefering writes about life in a relaxed and remarkable way, with wit and understanding. About sense and nonsense. Hesitation and action. Believing and no longer believing. Growing old and staying curious. About dying and death. About the love of life and what that means for politics. With a nod to the little things of everyday life. With that typical sound that makes "Franz" instantly recognizable.
Franz Müntefering, who has helped shape German politics for decades at federal and state level and in his home community of Sundern/Sauerland, remains true to his motto: take the world as it is, but don't accept it! This is a book for everyone who knows and appreciates "Münte". An invitation to think about the big issues of our existence without lying to ourselves. A bow to the small but decisive things of everyday life.
Together with presenter Andrea Jung, Franz Müntefering embarks on a short journey through his life. True to the motto of his life: Take life as it is. But don't leave it as it is.
