Franziska Böhler is a nurse - and a care activist. She has spoken from the hearts of many with her public commitment to better conditions in the care sector. And yet there was a time when she could no longer go on. Too much was thrown at her: she was admired, asked for advice, criticized, insulted and threatened. Franziska Böhler tried to do everyone justice, to fulfill her roles as a mother of two, an activist, an influencer and a nurse. She tried to block out the hate, to let criticism roll off her back - but at some point this is no longer possible. Panic attacks and burnout are the result. Added to this is the frustration that nothing is changing about the catastrophic conditions in nursing. Franziska Böhler had been working as a nurse in an intensive care unit near Frankfurt am Main since 2007. In May 2020, she switched from intensive care medicine to anesthesia. As @thefabulousfranzi, the mother of two has around 250,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly draws attention to the nursing crisis. Her first book "I'm a nurse" reached number 1 on the Spiegel bestseller list and was awarded the LovelyBooks Silver Reader's Choice Award in 2020.
