Französische Filmtage 2025

In the organizer's words:

Since 1984, the French Film Festival Tübingen-Stuttgart has offered an unusual range of films from the entire French-speaking world. With around 80 films, it is the second largest francophone film festival in Europe. It is regarded as the showcase for francophone cinema in the German-speaking world - both for cinema-loving audiences and for the industry.

Its particular focus is on young, as yet undiscovered auteur cinema. The Film Festival has often proved to be a springboard for these films onto German screens.

Many prizes also promote up-and-coming films - not only from France - because francophone films can be seen all over the world: from Belgium to Africa and Canada.
