Frauenfeindlichkeit und Antifeminismus – Wie stoppen wir den Rollback?

The last few decades have seemed progressive in many ways when it comes to women's rights and feminism. The women's movement and feminism have won many rights in politics, society and the workplace.
Of course, there has always been misogyny and anti-feminism, but at the latest with the mass spread of this on the internet and social media, but also increasingly in the public debate, we are in the middle of a rollback against the achievements in the field of women's rights and other feminist successes: the so-called "manosphere" on the internet specifically targets young men and even children to spread misogyny and misogynistic behavior. The number of femicides in Germany remains alarmingly high. Radical right-wingers have stepped up the fight against feminism, women's rights and queer people, and anti-feminism is managing to penetrate broad sections and strata of our societies and exploit insecurities and fears for its own ends.

On the one hand, it questions what has been achieved and on the other, it simply denies existing structural inequalities. But there are also many democrats who oppose this. How can we take a stand against misogyny and anti-feminism? What anti-feminist arguments are there, and who presents them and with what intention? How can we unite in Kiel and Schleswig-Holstein, but also throughout Germany, against well-networked anti-feminism and also effectively counter violence against women and misogyny?
We want to discuss these and other questions on this evening with Carolin Hesidenz (expert and speaker on anti-feminism), Sophia Schiebe (Member of Parliament, spokesperson for equality and diversity for the SPD parliamentary group) and the audience.
