Be free. Be friendly. That is the philosophy of freekind. Their blend of neo-soul, jazz and rap, together with their positive vibes and a wonderfully laid-back flow, regularly make for impressive yet thought-provoking live shows. Her set-up of drums, keys and vocals seems minimalist, but her sound is anything but. Anyone who experienced the concert at Gretchen last year knows that.
Croatian pianist and singer Sara Ester Gredelj and Slovenian drummer Nina Korošak-Serčič began their collaboration in 2019 with the release of their first single "I'm gonna live". In 2020, they released their first EP entitled "not good enough". Their debut album "Since Always And Forever" was released in 2023. Casually grooving, precise and jazzy beats drive the tracks forward, carried by pointed and soulful piano and synthesizer sounds and emotionally delivered lyrics.
freekind. make music with a message, subtly and out of the flow. Their single "Good News", for example, is a declaration of love for life beyond the bad news and contains an invitation to relate to love and hope. We often find both in our daily encounters. It's great that they are coming to us again on their "Good News Tour". So: be free, be friendly and come to the concert, there is good news.
