Germany, in the not-too-distant future: a coalition of "ecologists" and "nationalists" has ruled the country for two years. A series of unpopular laws have been passed and calls for new elections are getting louder and louder. Just when it looks as if the government is about to give in, there is an attack on a party organized by the "Young Ecologists": ten young people die. A state of emergency is declared and street protests are now illegal. But instead of dying down, the demonstrations continue to grow in popularity. The 16-year-old school dropout Denise also joins them. When a demonstration escalates, she flees to her former school. There she meets her former favorite teacher Bruno. The supposedly chance encounter first develops into a dispute about civil liberties - and then into a real thriller. Because Denise is pursuing a goal ...

In a fictitious political scenario, these two people wrestle over their stance between ideals and interests, responsibility and betrayal.
