FreiRaum: Nähen

In the organizer's words:

The FreiRaum format invites you to use the W1 rooms and their equipment on your own responsibility on selected dates.

Anyone who misses the rattling of the sewing machines, wants to repair something old or create something new, can use this date for independent work on the sewing machine. In this case, the offer is aimed at users who already have experience with the machines and can work on their projects without help.

Fabrics can be brought along or leftovers from the W1 stock can be used, while needles, thread, zippers and everything else needed is available.

This is how it works:

• Drop in spontaneously during the specified time without a reservation. There are usually enough places available.
• "Check in" with the W1 team in the office (ground floor) or Kulturcafé (ground floor), there may be a short introduction to the room at the beginning
• Experience with sewing machines is a prerequisite, as each person works independently (those who need an introduction can take part in the monthly sewing workshop "Näh' dir was" with Nina Heinisch - dates can be found in the calendar)
• You can bring your own project or start a new one on site
• (Almost) all available materials and tools can be used
• At the end, a voluntary contribution towards the cost of materials (€3-5) is requested
• Culture café open to provide drinks

Room rental:

Anyone interested in regular use can rent the textile workshop for their own, non-commercial purposes, provided the use is in line with the W1 concept. Many things are conceivable here - from weekly use to realize a larger sewing project to community sewing meetings or similar.

Price information:

At the end, a voluntary contribution towards material costs (3-5 €) is requested
