Friedensgeschichten in Zeiten des Krieges - Vernissage und Theaterperformance zur Ausstellung „Gesichter des Friedens“

Ten people. Ten stories. Each in their own way for peace. "War" is not an abstract concept for them - they have experienced it. They had to flee. Today they are committed to peace. From experience. Out of pain. And out of the hope that things can be different. Many people who have experienced flight or migration remain connected to the countries that are part of their family history and are involved in humanitarian or political work. Their knowledge and networks are invaluable. They make important contributions to peace, development and the realization of human rights. The exhibition honors this commitment.

An evening full of art, music and exciting discussions awaits you at the opening of the exhibition at Schauspiel Köln. Experience a performance by the Schauspiel Köln theater club and a panel discussion with two women who are committed to peace: Ada Hakobyan, one of the "faces of peace", experienced the war in Armenia as a child and later worked in various peace projects. She has been part of forumZFD's Ukraine team since 2019 and supports projects that use artistic approaches to help overcome trauma. Our colleague Marlene Hahnenwald, project manager in the Israel & Palestine program, will provide insights into the important role of art and cultural work in Israel and Palestine.
