Fringe Ensemble – Der Wanderfalke

The internationally networked fringe ensemble from Bonn is making a guest appearance at the FFT with its latest production The Peregrine Falcon. In the 1967 book of the same name, author John Alec Baker describes the lives of two pairs of peregrine falcons in the south of England. It is the story of a transformation: Over the course of six months, Baker approaches the animals and gradually becomes a hawk-like, observant hunter who learns to interpret nature. Following the text, its rhythm and its power, the fringe ensemble has developed an atmospheric evening of theater with live music. Using the means of art, it opens up a new perspective on nature and the environment. The specially developed instruments - mostly made from found objects - form the sound and stage space.
